Faith Christian Chapel in Lakeville, IN is looking for a Lead Elder/Pastor for an Elder led Church. He will be required to preach and teach on a regular basis, and assist the elders in shepherding the flock, disciple, build up believers, evangelize the community, and support other ministries of our church. Other duties involve administration of church staff and working alongside church leadership. He will also be held accountable for his personal spiritual development, prayer life, and that of his family.
Salary: $15k - $20k -Pay package includes housing in Parsonage, Vacation and Ministerial expenses
Qualifications:
Elders shall be men whose lives are characterized by the qualities set forth in 1st Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
These qualities can be categorized as:
He must desire the office of elder and demonstrate spiritual leadership abilities among the flock.
He must be able to teach and use the Word of God with wisdom and patience.
He must be a lover of God.
He must be a man who takes God and His Word seriously.
He must be able to manage his household in a biblical manner.
He must be able to spiritually manage his interpersonal relationships.
He must be a man who is seeking to be controlled by Christ and His Word rather than by worldly and fleshly desires.
He must also have a seminary degree or equivalent experience and a desire to continue his education.
He must have experience and skill in teaching and preaching.
He and his family must be willing to live in the church’s Parsonage or community of Lakeville Indiana.
He must be in agreement with our Statement of Faith, Constitution, and Vision.
He must have the ability and desire to cast the Vision to the congregation and community.
Responsibilities:
Preach primarily exegetical from the Bible, as required, for Church Services.
Teach in small groups and in discipleship classes as needed.
Teach the congregation in Worship, Edification, and Evangelism.
Hold the leadership role in the ordinances.
Shepherd the flock through edification, visitation, and counseling.
Work cooperatively with the elders and leadership of the Church.
Our Church:
Faith Christian Chapel is all about a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and about loving others. We are not associated with a denomination. We have a Sunday morning attendance averaging at about 85 and are growing. About 45% are under the age of 19, 35% Are 19 to 64, and 20% are 65 and older. We have been without a pastor since October 2006 and know that the Lord has blessed us and is moving us in serving Him.

Grace Bible Church is a small Independent Bible Church located in central Illinois. We are looking for a man that has the gift of preaching and teaching and possesses excellent people skills. We have approximately 100 people that currently attend. We have had over 300 in attendance in years past. There is room for growth. Our people are continuing the ministry without a pastor as we currently have an interim arrangement. We have excellent workers in our church. We just started our search for a new pastor today. (We have been putting together information packets for prospective candidates for the past couple of months.) We have a great facility that can hold up to 320 in the sanctuary. We have a gymnasium that we use for AWANA and other outreach ministries into our community. Our community has approximately 14,000 in population. Rolla Baptist Church (affiliated with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada) is actively seeking an additional Pastor to provide teaching and leadership to a congregation of 250. We are located in the Peace region of northeastern British Columbia. While rural in setting, we gather from considerable distances and have a wide reach into several communities. We are a diverse congregation, from young families to the elderly, from brand new believers to those mature in Christ and from various backgrounds & walks of life. Currently we provide a wide spectrum of ministries, including small group bible studies, Sunday School & a vibrant children’s bus ministry, youth ministry, support for single parents and an active Ladies fellowship. With several people from our own congregation in foreign fields, we are also strongly missions minded. As we have grown, we have come to recognize that a congregation of our size and diversity is a significant challenge. We are creating a second pastoral position to address the needs in which we find we are falling short.
