Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend, IN is seeking a Senior Pastor due to the retirement of our current pastor effective March 2008. The next Senior Pastor of CBC will meet the Biblical qualifications for an elder described in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1. He should have gifts that include Preaching, Motivational Leadership, Evangelism and Faith. The candidate should have above average gifts which may include Teaching/Instructing, Strategic Planning, Managerial Leadership, Discipling/Mentoring, and Promoting. The Senior Pastor is responsible for overseeing a multiple staff. He will teach/preach two Sunday morning services, provide direction and train leaders typically for adult ministries and participate in leadership meetings.

The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years ministry experience, with some experience as a senior pastor preferred, but not required. He should have a Bachelor’s degree/Bible School diploma with some Master’s level work. The candidate will be in agreement with the CBC doctrinal statement. Salary will be commensurate with experience. CBC provides health insurance and a retirement plan.

Calvary Baptist Church was founded in 1906 and is an independent Baptist church. Average weekly attendance is 250. CBC has two Sunday morning services, eight Adult Bible Fellowships, three children’s Sunday School classes, two Youth Bible Fellowships, all of which meet between the Sunday services, and several small groups which meet throughout the week. The church has Awana on Wednesday evenings. CBC is also involved in the T-Net disciple-making process.

The individual should also be an inspired and compelling preacher who continues to grow in knowledge and skill. He should inspire confidence in his leadership as he encourages the growth of our racially and economically diverse congregation.

Cedar Hill Baptist Church was established over 100 years ago and is located at the top of Cedar Hill in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Cleveland Heights is a diverse suburb just 12 miles east of Cleveland. We are just minutes away from University Circle, the cultural center of Cleveland, and are located in close proximity to a range of schools and institutions. Our recently renovated worship center provides room for significant growth.

Cedar Hill Baptist Church is especially committed to the support of missionary outreach, including active support of missionaries serving abroad.
