Dr. Schultz has made several presentations at the Canadian Association of College and University Services Annual Conference, the Canadian Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association’s Division 17 Great Lakes Conference, and the Association for Women in Psychology Conference. Dr. Schultz has also published articles on the topic of childhood sexual abuse and ethics. Her salient interests are looking at the issue of suffering and how this impacts a person’s spiritual walk. Other areas of interest include prayer and counseling.

7 Questions with Dr. Schultz:

1) What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of teaching and ministry?
Making salsa with friends at our annual salsa fest. I love gardening, digging in the earth, watching flowers bloom, going for prayer walks with close friends, wwimming - training for a triathalon with friends!

 

2) Who are the members of your immediate family?
My father and step-mom, my brother and sister-in-law, the best nephew (Tommy) and hockey forward in the world, the best nephew (Ben) and (hockey) goalie in the world, and best niece (Shawnee) and ballerina in the world.


3) What is one of your most memorable experiences in ministry?

  • Leading a client to the Lord.
  • Teaching the women at Equip 05- the women were so hungry for God and teachable to Him.
  • Teaching in Korea – witnessing the godly and praying people of Korea.

 

4) What was the topic of your DMin, Th.D, or Ph.D dissertation?
Memory recall among individuals reporting child sexual abuse: the role of suggestibility, dissociation, and closeness with the perpetrator.
